I met Coach when I was just 17 years old – a young athlete with no clear idea of what the future held. Now, at 35, I can honestly say that Mike’s impact on my life, both as an athlete and now as a coach myself, has been nothing short of transformational.
Over the past 18 years, Mike has not only witnessed my growth, but has been a steady guide through it all. His influence goes far beyond athletic performance – he’s helped shape who I am as a person, an athlete, and now as a coach. I’ve worked with many coaches throughout my career, but what sets Mike and the M.A.D. team apart is his unique ability to truly connect with athletes. He meets each individual where they are, recognizing their personal needs, challenges and goals.
Mike has been a constant presence through the highest highs and lowest lows of my professional triathlon career – and of my life. His support and belief in me, even during the toughest moments, have been a cornerstone of my journey. He never lost sight of my potential, even when I did.
